Seasonal Care
Our grasses are categorized as either "warm season" or "cool season."
Warm season varieties like bermudagrass will become dormant in the cold of the winter (when the soil temperature reaches 55 degrees), and will require you take steps to ensure year-round green. This is achieved by either overseeding with perennial ryegrass, or by painting it with environmentally friendly options.
Cool season grasses such as West Coaster dwarf tall fescue and our blue-rye will not go dormant.
WARM SEASON GRASSES
Platinum Paspalum requires more unique care due to its special features for minimizing the need for chemicals and ability to use reclaimed or higher saline level water sources.
